Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Summer: We are casual western at the ranch.  Bring comfortable jeans and long sleeve shirts for riding or working.  Cowboy boots or boots with slick bottoms and a heel will work.  We have some extra boots to borrow, but please call ahead with your shoe size, or you can purchase some once you arrive from one of the local stores.  Dress how you like for all other activities.  You will probably still need a light jacket or sweatshirt for evening, and rain gear is a good idea as well.  Summers can get pretty hot during the day expect 70’s-80’s for June.  July and August see 80’s, 90’s and some 100 degree temps.  Nights still dip into the 50’s. Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit for the swimming pond and hot tub.

Winter:  You’ll want to wear layers in the winter, although the weather can be really cold, if you’re working outside you can still get hot enough to sweat.  The bottom layer should be a wicking fabric to help prevent you from getting wet.  Snowpants, coats, hats, gloves and winter boots are also must haves.  Let us know if you don’t have all of these items, we do have some supply that you can borrow.
